Martha Mellinger is an artist living and working in Sonoma, California.
She has been my client for several years now, and during that time the site has undergone 2 major re-designs. The current version features her extensive portfolio of oil paintings in a section that is divided into portfolio themes.
In developing the look and feel for the site, I was guided by the look of her paintings, which contain many images of the golden hues of California, as well as the terracotta of the Italian countryside.
The biggest challenge was to set up the portfolio in a way to easily add new images. This was accomplisehed by structuring the portfolio in pages of up to 10 images per page. New pages and imagescan then beadded while keeping the current structure.
