Mark Indig is a Fine Art Photographer based in Los Angeles. His work contains images of urban life both in the US and abroad.
He requested a site that could feature his extensive galleries , some of which contain up to 25o images in a simple yet elegant way.
This site presented a lot of challenges related to uploading such a large number of images for each portfolio. I was excited to find some WordPress plugins to make this a lot easier. One of these is “Add from server” a plugin that allows the user to add a large number of images to the site via FTP and then link to them through the WordPress interface. This process is a lot faster than uploading the images through the WordPress media uploader.
I was happy to discover this and able to teach my client to go through the process and successfully manage his own galleries. This, of course, is the goal in every project: to enable your client to manage the site by him or herself.
